The US Patent and Trademark Office recently rejected Microsoft’s trademark filing for the mark BING for “computer search engine software; graphical user interface software, namely, toolbar software for use with search engine software and websites”.

The PTO cited the mark BING MOBILE, INC. for “mobile phone software for a social networking service” and rejected under the grounds of likelihood of confusion.
