Do you use Twitter? I’ve recently started actively using it and it is addictive. Anyways, I found a Twitter user by the name of celebritynews that is fourth highest Update posters according to twitterholic. It appears that celebrity news has created quite a few Twitter accounts in the name of celebrities. The Twitter account name shows up in the path of the URL and is not available after it’s created. Thus, the Twitter Account for Tom Cruise (which appears to be created by celebritynews) is http://twitter.com/tomcruise. As Twitter is getting more popular by the minute, I wonder if any celebrities will fight to get their twitter name?

Just spreading the Twitter Squatting meme.

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s website is a great place to hunt for actual agreements between parties. Trademark license agreements are no exception. The trouble is, is that it is somewhat difficult to find as the search technology is not as robust as say Google’s search technology.

So as a public service, here’s some links to actual trademark license agreements. Of course these have been negotiated between the parties and fit their specific situations and understandings. So if you’re thinking you can use them unchanged, think again. Obviously, I recommend you seek counsel before entering into these important agreements.

The first agreement is between a Cayman Islands company with a company from Shanghi.

A blast from the past with this old Levi’s commercial. It’s interesting how they actually made the word “trademark” a character of the commercial.

Yeah yeah. I’ve been lax lately. But really, I’ve been blogging this whole time. Just not on the TMBC. I was just taking a law blogging break and blogging for fun over at The 270, my blog about what’s happening in my corner of the world. Columbus, Ohio.

Anyways, after the last Entourage episode, I wrote a post about Marquis Jet being featured on Entourage. The link to Columbus is that Marquis’ fleet of jets is actually operated by Columbus based NetJets. I expected a few people to be interested. But I got a spike in readership due to that post.

So, anecdotally, Entourage builds buzz for your brand. And for luxury brands, the show is perfect. Really, who wouldn’t want to live the lifestyle of Vincent Chase. At least for a day or two.
